Ever since the so called ‘3rd Crisis’ (i.e. Final Crisis) events outcome aftermath it seems that the DC universe itself has now became an entirely altered plain of reality all together! For it in turn has given birth to a so called entity known as the 'Mega verse'! Now, come this Mega verse’s specific Earth referred to all occupants simply as 'E-12' where, upon that specific Earth it is now that of the year 2058 A.D. (as their residents measure the passing of time as now being.) And with in THIS particular Earth's year in question we soon learn that it seems to inhabit THE greatest Super hero team alive! A Super-Heroic team who's famous legacy sprang from that of the late 20th Century as the then known 'JL' (i.e. 'Justice League' ) to that of now THIS current time eras equally famously known 'JLU' (i.e. 'Justice League Unlimited' ) Super-heroic team who endure this never ending ongoing battle between its forces of good Vs evil too.
Only now, un be known to the only recently freshly formed JLU next gen team in question they will soon be forced to having to confront an actual age old longtime arch nemesis who had been one of THE greatest threats alive known to the JLU's predecessors i.e. the JL themselves! For it will fall to a LONGTIME iconic legendary seasonal pro Superhero HIMSELF to bring the ALL NEW JLU team together in time for their having to confront a threat their Earth hasn't seen the likes of since WAY back in early 21st Century prior!
So, here to kick it off is THE tyrannical despot ruler of THIS specific Earth and it's time era in question, the so called 'Lord of Apokolips'....
